AVCO Steel is a small fabrication shop serving the construction
and manufacturing industry throughout the greater San Francisco
Bay Area. As a job shop, we build to your specifications. We offer
installation of structural and miscellaneous steel.
Typical job types include: handrails, guardrails, stairs, A.D.A.
(American Disability Act) upgrades, seismic bracing, bollards,
ships-ladder, access ladders, beams, channels, angles, columns,
moment frames, supports for mobile partitions, and bracing. Materials
include structural grades of steel, stainless and aluminum.
StairsWe manufacture and install steel stairs for commercial, industrial applications. Typical steel stair would be made from C10 x 15.3 channel for the stringers and sheet metal bent to form a pan in which concrete is poured for each step. This style of stair is called a pan stair. There is a wide variety of steel stair styles from ships-ladders (a very steep ladder for equipment or mechanical service access) to custom formal entry stairs.
HandrailTypical handrail projects would be remodels or A.D.A. upgrade for commercial buildings. Standard handrail is a welded product made of 1" ¼ pipe.
GuardrailsStandard guardrail is made of 1" ¼ pipe spaced 4" horizontally, but a wide variety of designs and patterns can be made to meet your needs.
Miscellaneous and Structural SteelTypical job would be adding beams and channel to meet the needs of your construction project. Roof top structures to support major mechanical upgrades, utility vault platforms, structure additions, seismic bracing improvements, and just about anything with steel, stainless or aluminum material.
ManufacturingWe can meet your requirements for cutting, welding, punching of steel shapes such as welded brackets, special purpose fixtureing, welded frames, job shop type work.
